The best time to visit Eilat are the months of September and October, as the weather is amazing, with pleasant outdoor and water temperatures. The months with the lowest chance of rain however, are June, July, and then August.

Eilat’s second international airport is Ovda or Uvda (code:VDA), 60 km (37 miles) north. Driving time to town is about 50 minutes. Public bus 392 runs into town every hour.

Eilat town centre is small and easy to get around on foot. Local buses serving the hotel area (no 1) and Taba Road (no 15), run every 30 minutes, 07.00-19.00 daily except Saturday, stopping about 15.00 Friday.
