While not your typical "city," the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania were divided into five regions for simplicity. Many of the resorts in the Pocono Mountains region have a bar or lounge onsite, but if you wish to venture out into the city where you are staying, there are many options for entertainment. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs with great happy hour offerings, several live entertainment venues, and even a few dance clubs.

Poconos Mountain shopping offers unique locally made gifts throughout the region. In addition to the celebrated handcrafted soaps, furniture, and foods made by the Amish population of Pennsylvania, the Pocono Region boasts an abundance of other locally-made products. here are also several malls in the area, and antique lovers will feel right at home in any of the downtown shopping districts of Jim Thorpe, Honesdale, Hawley, Milford, or Stroudsburg.
